H'd Qrs 7" Iowa Vol Inft Near East Point Ga Sept 25" 64 My dear Wife: As my friend Dennis A. Morrison Starts home in the morning on furlough I will Send you a fiew lines by him I wrote you one week ago by Link Morrison which I suppose you have received by this time, when I wrote you then I thought we would have been paid off before this and it was my intention to send my money home by Dennis but he received his furlough sooner then was expected and as time is precious to a man that has not been home for over two years he has concluded not to wait until after Pay day, which was his intention at first Our Pay Rolls are all made out and Signed but as our Division is ordered into The field again it will probably be one week yet before we receive our pay. I do not Know now how I will git the mony to you but will avail myself of the first opportunity. I think I will be able to send you 150$ Our Division under command of Genl John M Corse is ordered to Rome Ga. to attend to attend to the Rebel Genl Forrest
