landed here to pay off this Army, I have not drawing any pay since the first of March, I will now draw four monthly pay (68,00). I was away on detached servis, the last pay day. Capt Rector has been promoted to third Major, I do not know who will be our Capt., but rest assurd that it will not be Guylee or [Pnst?]. did I think it prudent, I Could here tell you things that would astonis you, but sufise it to say that some men who left home in high standing will returnd in disgrace, and no person to blame but them selves, when I see you and and my self again I can tell you all about it.
