Infantry we camped there untill the next day in the eavening we then went 12 miles to a town called Panola the Secesh had left there only a short time before we got ther we burnt some more railroad bridges and went back to the Infantry again the same night next morning, we heard there was some rebels at Oakland another town on the railroad we got there a bout noon we found a bout 2100 we had a little fight they got one small peace of artilery from us but we whiped them we lost no men we then returned to Helena.
