Lieu Crawford and about 20 or 30 of us went out in the wood and had a bible class George McCoy was teacher and we have methodist and baptist preaching every evening in our reg A good many is getting religion 2 or 3 of our Co goes to the mourners bench we have prayers every night in our tent by Capt Crab Lieu Crawford sargt Hope And John donnel we like our Oficers wel It is expected that Crab will be promoted to some of the higher [officeses] if so Lieu Crawford will be our Capt we have a good time but it is a very wicked place and almost every man has a bible I enjoy myself
