firstrate as one can choose what ever Company he pleases the Co. hired 2 fellows that was rejected for cooks and yesterday they became dissatisfied and would not stay and we had to mess of and cook our own dinner today our mess consists of Sam B. H. C. A. Jim S. Thomas vincent Capt. Hope. J. J. McConnell wm Phillips and myself we behave ourselves as well as we did at home we can all smoke cigars any amount. don't forget to come and see us it would do us good and you to give my respects to every body write soon Direct your letters Burlington Iowa Care of Capt Crab 7th Reg Co.
