861529 Indianapolis Iowa Sept 29th. 1861 Jim & John Dear Sirs I take up my pen to answer your kind letter of Sep 13th. it came in due time we was glad to hear from you as we had got but one letter since you went away I answered it as soon as it came to hand I directed it as you drected it as you said I dont see why you did not get it but I will try it again and se if it will get through
