I want you to excuse me for not writing please answer this soon and tell me who has gone to the army and if McGreggars have enlisted. Send me all the news remember me to your folks. Tell them I have not forgotten them but would like to hear from them. I intend writing to James Flemings some time soon. I am in good health but feel sorry to see the soldiers leaving. I think we have seen better days than we will soon I hope these lines will find you in good health and spirits. i almost forgot to tell you there was a full Regiment less here on wednesday and 4 companies on Thursday, and there is fifteen or sixteen Companies in Camp at camp Howe. you can immagine how our Pennsylvanians have turned out. but many more are required to fill up the required no. answer this soon and I will try and do better next time.
