not losse many our regiment lost 12 killed and 50 wounded our Company lossed 3 killed Henry Boley andrew stanley & corporal thompson and three slightly wounded Kale rhodes and another from croton Bill huffstedler is hurt on the shoulder By a peice of shell falling on him the rest of the company is not hurt though we have a good many sick we only had 40 men in the fight of our compay. John is not very well he has been rather sick since we left Helena & home sick to but all the men are awful home sick and would like to see the war end i am enjoying good health and still working in Bakery and you may fell easy about me i am safe i would like to get a letter from you i have not got one from home since novemer 15th Will to write also W. ramson remember me to all from your son R Moyle Isaac is wel also willis we have little chance to nail letters we move so much PS got a letter from St Louis last night
