be hauled off by another steamer or we would probable had to remain untill the river raised I never was so tired of steam Boat traveling as on the tripp coming to Vicksburg. Notwithstanding I enjoyed it. Our camp here I am well pleased with it is pleasantly situated right on the line of the rail road we are camped on the side of a small hill the land all round is very hilly and is as healthy a place as we could get here there has been a great deal of sickness here but the health of the regiment
