My right leg is swollen it is one fourth larger then it ought to be it has three runing sores on it I have to ware a elastic stocking or a reuber bandage to keep it in shape it swells from the end of my toes up in to my hip joint I have walk part of the time with crutches a stocking or bandage does not last me more then three month in the last year I had to have my right thigh lanced in two places the Doctor took over a galon of puss from it on the night of Jaunary 15th 1863 I fell into the hull of a barge with a sack of corn on my shoulder bruising my right leg in febuary 1865 while on duty [I took the typhoid feaver it settled?] in my right leg it [gethered?] and was lanced in in six different places
