Sandy Hoock 17 miles from N.Y. City at 1 PM at the Channel. (Stony forts on both sides). Much ice floating. Hard to get in the Harbor. Landed at 4 PM. Got to Soldiers Depot at Howard Str. No. 52. at 5 PM. Good Place [29?] Sunday 30th at Barnums Museum 31st on the Cars at Hudson River Depot on 30th Street left at 11:30, fine weather, Run along the Hudson R and crossed to Albany at 5 PM, at 7 AM 1st Febr. at Rochester NY, 3 1/2 hours behind time. Arrived at Buffalo at 10 o clock 1st day of Febr. left there at [1,55?] Pm. through Dunkirk NY and arrive at Cleveland, O. at 10 o clock PM.missed conection & stopping
