I Suppose you have heard of Mr. Talbott's Death. He Died on the Friday Eavening after you left, yet His Bereaved Wife, & Family Have the consolation that He died Prepared for a Better Clime than this. That Family has lost a Kind & Induligent Father & the Community has lost one of its Best Men. His Funeral Sermon was Preached at the Methodist Church in Marengo, By the Revd. Renolds The Corps was carried to the Church & after the Sermon, they Repaired to the Marengo Burying Ground. It does not seem Like it could Be Possible that he is gone and yet, Alas? it is too True There is Considerable Sickness here in this Vicinity, Joe. Talbotts Mother is not expected to live, & Aunt Priscila Krown is very Sick with the Lung fever, & Several others that are complaining more or
