If all our hopes and all our fears Were prisoned in lifes narrow bound If travelers through this vale of tears We saw no better world beyond Oh what could check the rising sigh What earhly thing could pleasure give Oh who would venture then to die Oh who could thus indure to live And such were life with out the ray From our divine religeon given Tis this that makes our darkness day Tis this that makes our earth a heaven This poetry expresses my feelings very nearly and I thought I would send it to you. I do no think I shall attend school this winter Sade says she will not stay
