OCTOBER. 25. Tuesday Camp at Talladega Ala" was detained all day, but took the cars in the evening for Selma Traveled all night and arrived at Selma in the morning 26. Wednesday Took a Boat at Selma at 8 O clock & run down the Ala" river to Cahawba where we were examined and put in Prison The Cahawba Prison is a dirty loathsome place 27. Thursday In Prison at Cahawba Ala - 2500 men are here imprisoned We are much crowded
