Diary of 1863 Left Carrollton October 3d 1863 Arrived at Burwicks City October 4th Left Burwicks City Oct 7th 8th passed through Franklin 9th marched within 4 miles of New Iberea and got orders to go back to Franklin went 2 miles and camped 10th marched all day and got within 9 miles of town 11th went into town at 10 A. m. and camped. Left Franklin November 11th and November 12th got to New Iberea Paid December 6th 7th Left New Iberea and marched 7 miles and camped 8th marched to Franklin and camped 9th marched 15 miles and camped 10th, went to Burwicks City 11th went on the cars to Algiers 12 layed all day in Algiers loading our things on board of the Continental Started down the Miss river
