June our regt as train guard arrived at the front about noon, while we were eating dinner we had a very heavy thunder shower the rain soaked my hard tack quite soft in my hand while eating our whole front moved up & commenced fighting, at night our brig went into camp & pitched tents the rebs threw one shell into our camp & struck a tree one man wounded (by a sliver) of the 107 Ill.
