were burned & the wheels were standing on the track just as when the train was burned they extended about 1/2 mile & the ground was covered with gun barrels locks trimmings grape canister solid shot & shell &c. we passed this & marched through tow passed the Trout house which is the largest in town saw a Lady Surgeon of the US Army there dressed in military uniform saw 1100 prisoners we marched to the north side of town stacked arms
