in the centre & cargoe forward of that, ladies state rooms above ranged along the saloon.The disadvantage however of this build is that there is only a very short walk being the part of the deck that I have previously described as uncovered by the Saloon, every thing aboard as clean as a whistle. The banks of the St. Laurence are very beautiful & for a long way out of Quebec both banks are well settled & the cottages have a cheerful appearance. I must try & describe the sunset which was the most glorious & curious that I have ever seen. The sky was perfectly clear the hills on the banks
