& the other fall & so on to the rocks where you get an excellent view of the fall. they give you flannel shoes to put on which dont slip over the wettest rocks. The falls are much whiter than I had expected, but I think nothing can exaggerate their magnificence. The dark blue sky sets off the white of the falls as you look upwards. They come down with a crash like one rock on another & more like artillery than anything else I can think of. This passage was discovered in /34 I believe. Looking up at part of the fall you could see no edge but merely a cloud of spray. There is a capital "strong current bath" it is managed by a trough
