H'd " Qrs 7" Iowa Vet Inft Savannah Ga. Jany 15" 1865 My dear Wife, I have been wating patiently for sometime to hear from you, but as I have failed to do so concludeded to write again, the last letter that I received from you was of Dec 11 " 1864 I Received it while we were on Andersons Plantation, before Shermans Army had possession of Savannah. I have written you several letters since that time giving you all the news and I presume you have rec"d the most of them before this time. I, also send you a Savannah Paper every fiew days which Contains all of the Local news. my Last Letter was written last Sunday evening the 8" inst In which I gave you all the news pertaining to the Regiment,
