that I will be able to spend the 4th.. of July with you. it is thought that a "certain pr cent" of the troops will be mustered out first in the Case the 7th.. will be included in the first lot and I think that I will be mustered out with the Veterans. I have not had a word from Col" Mayer. in regard to my Com in the 11" Tenn Inft. but I suppose that will prove a failure as I see that all Recruiting in Loyal States has been stopped. You speak in your last letter about disposing of our House, and ask what I think of it. I am willing you should sell the House at any time, and think if you can git the price for it that you mention the sooner it is disposed of the better. You Know that I have for a long time wanted to sell the property but you thought we had better hold on to it a little longer. I would have sold the House when at home for sixteen hundred dollars
