South Guthrie Called on me while we was in Camp near Washington. He Has a Situation in the Division of National Banks at Sixteen Hundred dollars pr year. He is the Same South is Just as uneasy and restless as ever. Sayes he is Just making a living. wants to get away from W. but Cannot Save money enough to pay his expenses west. He Insisted on my Spending a fiew days with them - which I would have done had we remained their a fiew weeks longer, as it was I did not get time to call on Mrs. G. - Called at Souths Office the day I started & bid him good bye. I visited the Patent Office Smithsonian Institute & the Museum saw all of the Sights was in the White House & Capitol Hope it will not be long until we can have a Long Chat over my Sight Seeing in Washington & the South. Will write again Soon Good night & Believe me Your Affectionate Husband, Frank Malcom
