Mar 7" 1865 Dear Friend Jennie I was truly glad to hear from you and your letter came just in the right time I was so lonesome i hardley knew what to do Jennie last night was so pleasant about twelve oclock the Brass Band of Maj Gen. Jeff C. Davis struck up and then all the Bands followed It sounded so pretty I do like to hear music after night when all else is still Well Jennie you want to know if Kitty is pretty & good & sweet of course she is you know I would not Corespond with any other Kind you speak of her getting to be Mrs Kitty A not much I dont know as I will ever get married i dont know as i can find any any one that would have me Jennie perhaps you could find me one in Fremont County well now I was glad to hear that Mollie had formed so good an Opinion of me I think it was quite a Compliment dont you I'll declare thare
