Our board costs us $1.00 per day and then we have nothing but bread, meat and coffee rations are scarce now but will be plenty soon as the Rail Road is completed to Dalton that will not be very long. Please don't talk of those pies again it makes me home sick - I expect a pleasant time at W--------- I am going with Capt. Abraham there will be but 10 soldiers with us if I fall in love with some of the fair ones of W---------- it will be awful won't it. Will Scott and I have had some pleasant little talks since I come back - he said he would have been married long ago if it had not been for me. I think he was only joking about it. yet he appeared to be in earnest. he thinks you are the best girl he ever knew - (I think so too) don't you think you made a very poor decision when you decided in my favor? if you had chosen him you would some day have been the lady of a great lawyer - while you have chosen to be a poor farmers lady - I think Will is the best boy I ever knew - he has so little of that selfish disposition which is so common & prominent in many others. there is no disposition
