been examined yet I dont think thy will bring as much as we anticipated if we get as much as we paid for them we will do well and I think we will we have a good Coln I think he and the Major was both in the Springfield battle they are brave men I am very glad we did not get in the 2ond regiment we are in a better one now and are at a better place we have good quarters and plenty to eat. I suppose you have heard we was almost starving and was getting necked that is not so we have had plenty to eat and have not suffured for clothes Capt Rector is as good a man as ever was he makes a good Capt we have been
