here over a week I have been to meeting 5 times there is good society here the people are very kind to us I feel at home here Holtsinger lived here 4 years. he is the same man he was at home some of the boys have hanged very much I have been trying to change for the better I have be come disgusted at others. I hope I may come home a better boy if I should be so fortunate as to return if it should be my lot to fall on the battle field let me fall fighting for our Country and fall prepared to meet you in heaven Father it is a hard place to live right I feel the worth of a good home but I am not sorrow I came I think I done right
