I have but little idea when we will be discharged, we get but little news here that is reliable. I am very anxious to go home but will try to be content, untill we are discharged. This is a very pretty Southern town but is Crowed with rebel soldiers on their way home. all are satisfied with the war. Our Soldier all regret the death of our President I am very anxious to hear from you home folk. I hope you are all well and as happy as I am to night. tell Sallie I will expect to have the honor and pleasure of attending her meeting soon. Milt has given his oppertunity of writing to Mr. Gallop. as he is a married man. I am not a married man but dont know how soon I will be. but I will talk of that in the future. I have only 30 minits to write, and must send afew lines in Will's letter home. Do not forget to pray that your friend may yet be spared to return. And we must not forget to thank our Heavenly Father for bring about a happy peace. Give my love to Sallie and all the friends Milt sends his love to all, Your most affectionate friend. Ace. Mann
