Mrs Beck's French [Pickle] 1/2 pk. green tomatoes, chopped not too fine 6 Cucumbers 4 large green + 2 red pepper 6 or 8 white onions 1 oz mustard seed 1 oz seed celery 1 1/2 lbs sugar 1/2 oz tumeric After chopping tomatoes sprinkle with salt and let stand over night, drain in the morning and add the peppers and onions chopped fine [then] add seeds tumeric [and] sugar, cover well. [-h] vinegar + boil [-urs] Put while [ ] in glass jars
