Cavalry was encountered all day, some killed some captured &c, Severe fighting in the right where the Army of Tenn is. All confident of this move terminating the Campaign. Sherman & Thomas with us Works only temporary 31st Lay in our works until noon, the boys doing a lively business in the way of foraging. At noon a line
