been back with the train We are on left of 4" corps Near our position on 4" of June, 7" Our Div was ordered out to "Lost Mtn" on a reconnaisance, going 2 miles beyond, The enemy had deserted their works there and fallen back the day previous We made a march of 15 miles getting into camp at dark, Had quite a fine time while gone gathering chestnuts &c. Our rations being cut we have to indulge in the eating of parched corn.
