Perryville Ky but they took it We are kept changing front and maneuvering for two hours then finaly settled down in line of battle behind a wood with the 82 in our rear Tis now dark and the firing only at intervals (Vertically, at left:-) The 82" Ind joined us near Louisville (Col Hunter) on Sept 30th Ambulances passing, carrying the wounded to the hospital Stragglers coming in searching for their regiments Saw an old gunner who served under Bragg in Mexico (Vertically, at left:-) Thursday 9th 5 A.M. Called up at 4 and compeled to stand in line till 5. Large numbers of wounded were brought in last night 4th Ind battery lost 4 pieces and caissons
