at his fine apples across a guard line. This forenoon we passed over a small range of mountains The pass over Muldrough's hill was a grand affair The road wound round the mountain which sloped easily to its summit while the sides were covered by nuts clusters of grapes haws &c, The vally sloping off in depth of 200 feet made one dizzy to look to look into its depth (Vertically, at left:-) Friday 31 Our brigade in lead of division Passed through Greenville a town of 300 pop Crossed Green river at noon
