Artillery at intervals during the day We are now on short allowance. Sund 28, - At 6 AM we struck tents, took across fields & woods until we came to the Nolinsville pike then on the pike for N - A culvert blown up stopped us halted at 1 PM having gone about l4 miles. Engineers at work on a temporary bridge. My birthday - - - Mond 29 Squad of 37 prisoners passed us. Engineers finished the bridge at 3 P.M. Passed through Nolinsville at dark having halted 2 miles back and prepared 3 days rations, From N - we took across to the Murfreesboro pike
