wish for better weather for our campaign, The 1st Div and Corps train came up from Broad river on the direct road to Winsboro, 21" Our Reg being in advance of Brigade and Brig in advance of Division, we had to start out early, and the "General" found many of us in bed. Co "H"s mules got away and we had a "awful" time getting off. Struck out for Winnsboro, crossed Little R on a frail bridge, the 1" Div in front. We made a splendid march of 12 miles by noon and get dinner in sight of Winnsboro, The 20" Corps entered town
