Our foragers fail to come in. The weather is beautiful, 20" Got off at sunrise for the front, as we had orders to reinforce the front. We moved up some 4 miles in quick time and halted near the fertile-field of yesterday in rear of second line. It seems our men were attacked by Hardee with a large force and before they could form a line, the 1st div got a little demoralized and lost some men captured + killed. The 2nd div + 20 corps getting into position, the enemy were here. The 19" 2nd Batt lost 3 pieces, the men firing
