Mond 9, Got up late. Nearly all of the boys were out in the city I was over a portion of the city. Saw the State house, Polk's city residence & tomb, fort Negley, the cemetery, soldiers cemetery, &c. Cot's division passed through the city to day Tues 10 Early reveille but were detained by the pontoon train which we had to guard, until 10 oclock The mules & drivers were green
