town, we passed the head quarters of Gen's. Rosencrantz and Thomas, both of which saluted as we passed in response to our hearty cheers 15 Reveille at 5, got off at 7, The country over which we marched today was poor, stony and looked to be worth about 5 dollars per acre. The people were poor squalid ignorant objects and seemed content with an 8 by 12 cabin
