(Added note at head of page:-) Lister made a speech in the evening complementing us in the rear of [E?] At 4 three rgts from brigade 17 82 & 31st. took the Eaglesville pike to attack them in front & drive them on to the regts in their rear. At 7 we met the other brigade but nary rebel was there in the trap They had left their camp a few days before 8th Wednes Sergt Harbaugh rec'd his 2nd Lieuts commn yesterday
