9th Recd orders at 9 last night to be ready to march for a point between here & Franklin, at two in morning as a large force of the enemy was reported to be advancing upon that place Set off at 3 oclock but after waiting an hour at Division hd qrs, we were sent back to our quarters Heard hevy firing north west in forenoon 3 & 4th Ohio cavalry pass our camp in forenoon BN*
