(Added note at head of page:-) A number of commission[?] [well?] in the mornings about 11 before we got off took the Eagleville road but 3 miles from Triune turned off going across the country We were in the extreme rear and the wagons being all before us, we were continually stopping, and after going over a very rough country we halted near a stagnant pool at 12 at night, and lay down, Wagons been seen broken every few hundred yards &c 24 Get up at 3 and reach the camp of our division after 13 miles
