Saving...
I want to tell you in my story what can be did with a little of nothing. I have always wanted a writing desk, so one day I read in a paper that any girl could make such things with a little help from father, so I decided to try and make a writing desk. My father helped me saw out the boards out of an old box that our phonograph came in. Now if I was to buy a good desk it would cost me about $10 to $16. But mine cost 80¢. And this expense was for the varnish, nails, and sand paper. I do think there's nothing like club work for ideas, acquaintanceship, and good fellowship. Helen Grundman
