Saving...
June 14, 1882. Wednesday. Last night it rained very hard and it hailed too. This morning the creek was up over the road. Henry had to bring us to school in the wag'n. After awhile we saw Ona and Freddie Hayne coming. Mattie, Abbie, Frank & I went down waded across it and led them through it. At noon we played wade in the mud and made "mud-pies." June 15, 1882. Thursday. It has been bright and sunny all day. The water in the creek has nearly all gone down. At noon Abbie and I made a play-house in the avenue while some of the others made one in and on on top the top of the coal-house. We have had two visitors today -- Mrs. Dobson and Mrs. Smith P. I have had my lessons well today, and we have all had a good time. After school we went to the branch.
