33 Mr. Devitt gave short talk on Women in Industry and requested that an official representative of the League of Women Voters be sent to attend Memorial service at Ames in honor of Dean McKay on December eighteenth. Reports of county work were given by Dr. Stuart - Dr. Mills and Mrs. Devitt. Dr. Stuart is contemplating plans for having one of the National officers to speak in county which [illegible] out the statement from Mrs. Tomlinson that Mrs. Paige remained over for a day after the Regional Convention and comes to Des Moines in February to address the Des M. Womens Club and may be gotten to give other addresses at that time. Also that Mrs. Millard may return to the state for further work. Mrs. Passig moved that the minimum expenses of the committee in Industry be allowed. seconded and carried. Miss McKee addressed the meeting upon the [Fess Capper?] Bill and requests their co-operation of the League in furthering its passage thro' congress. Mrs. Hunter offered the following resolution. Whereas: The experience of the World War reveals among the American people vast elements who are physically unfit; and whereas: the future strength and security of American Ideals are much dependent on the general health of future generations of citizens.
