48 November 1915 16 present Met in the Friends meeting house. Two new members were reported, Mrs. Lord and Mr. L.S. Hand. After singing "Blessed Be the Name." Mrs. Sopher read a Ps. His mercy indureth forever." Several prayers of Thanksgiving were offered Mrs. Brande presided in the absence of the Pres. Min. read and approved. A letter from [Bin.?] Home was read thanking the Union for 84 gl. of fruit and some clothing sent. also $2.50 for bricks. Mrs. Watland reported for Worlds Tem. Sun. 2000 leaflets used in all Sun. Schools also College Bible Study classes and Uncle Sam's Club. Thanksgiving was the Topic. Mrs. Sopher the leader spoke of the Pilgrims first winter, their Thanksgiving the next year. She took part in the Crusade in Oskaloosa in 1874. They persuaded one saloon keeper to give up his business of beer selling and sell bread. He often thanked them afterward. Mrs. Brande spoke of our splendid State and National leaders. Others of the repeal of the [Mulet?] Law and the outlook for Equal Suffrage A Com was appointed to inquire into reports of bootlegging.
