Doctor Clarks recipe for the stomach & bowels Take raisins chopped one pound and 7 rubard sliced 1/2 pound senna one ounce coriander of fennel seed each 1/2 an ounce saffron & liquirice of each 1/2 of an ounce cochineal half an ounce brandy one gallon infuse all these in a stone both for ten days and make it twice a day then strain it of into bottles and cork it close
