A receipt for a cough Take a new laid egg, put it in a glass & sqeezein as much lemon juice as will cover let it stand whilst the shell is desolved, then take out the egg, and beat it very well, with an ounce of sugar candy, mix all together with a spoonful of rum. Good for a cold Two oz of brown sugar candy four oz spermceti 8 1/2 oz of nitre all bet very fine and mixt together with 2 large spoonsful of honey and 5 spoonsful of sald oil a large teaspoonful of this mixture may be taken very frequently particularly when the cough is troublesome and at going to bed.
