J.D. Moore must have wrote to his wife where he his I wrote a letter to the ninth regt, but I dont believe that our company went on to Sherman, I have not got a great deal news to write this time, the weather cloudy & the ground pretty muddy.- Their was quite a lot of soldiers transfered to Illinois, they being native of that state. I prefer staying here until I get stough enoug to go around considerable then I will do some hospital nursing & wait on the sick &c., - mother want to know where I don't want some stockings know mother I have plenty of stocking to do me; Now mother I must tell you that I was vaccinated by the doctor & it took firstrate on me, their was two cases of small-pox yesterday but they move them off to another building, they always give the patient a new suit of clothes when he get well.
