CLARK, Winnebago County Bank CAPITAL & SURPLUS $ 100.000,00 THOMPSON BROTHERS Dictated by J. Forest City, Iowa, Feb'y 2, 1894. Hon. G. N. Hougan, Des Moines, Iowa. Dear Sir, - There is a strong sentiment here in favor of universal suffrage. I believe the best interests of the State would be conserved by giving to every citizen, both male and female, the ballot. I believe that I voice the sentiment of 75% of the people of this county, when I say, by all means favor such legislation as will endow our worthy mothers, wives, sisters, and daughters, with equil rights and privileges to protect, their rights and property, as ourselves. Hoping you will favor these principals, we remain Yours truly, Jasper Thompson
