3 I am sorry to hear that our Senator Jewet is in favor of it; but we have Brower in our neighboring district to offset him and he is a speaker too. I think we shall get up a remonstrance next week and send in both to the House and Senate. It seems to me we have something else to think of now then to experiment on such foolishness. I would been glad to come down there and seen you but can not spare the time. I do not care to have my stenographer know this consequently I write it hoping you can read
