Spunge Cake - Mrs Mills - Take sixteen Eggs leave out the white of five, one pound of sugar beat and sifted, beat the Eggs and the sugar for an hour and a half have 20 ounces of flower well dry'd and the juice and Rind of two Lemons the rind to be put in while beating it, the juice to be put in just before the flower is put in. It must not be beat after the flower is in stir the flower gently in with a knife It will require an hour and a half to Bake in a very slow oven. Custard Pudding - Mrs Morley A pint of cream 3 spoonfuls of Flowers stir the cream and flower very well, then beat up five yolks of Eggs, two whites with a little salt [illegible] nutmeg and two or three spoonfuls of sack or white wine to your Palate, Butter your cloth or Bason, Boil it half an hour 1 ounce of [Catbear?] to wash Silk stockings
